Auriculotherapy
in Billings, Montana

Remove the stored memory of pain, find out if emotions can be quickly released, and much more — through the science of ear-based frequency therapy.

What is Auriculotherapy?

Auriculotherapy, or Auricular Therapy, is a holistic therapy that uses electrical current tuned to specific frequencies to stimulate points on the ear to promote healing and alleviate discomfort throughout the body.

This method operates on the belief that the ear serves as a microsystem, mirroring the anatomical structure of the entire body. Each point on the ear corresponds to a particular organ, gland, or body part — forming an intricate map of interconnectedness through nerves and blood vessels.

The Process

How Does Auriculotherapy Work?

By targeting precise points on the ear, we aim to restore balance within underlying organs and systems. By electrically encouraging overactive organs to relax and underactive ones to increase function, we can train the body to behave in a way that improves health naturally.

Using low-frequency electrical stimulation, an electrical wand is applied to specific auricular points. Sessions are 45–60 minutes and will include a brief conversation about your current state and where you would like to improve. We find the optimal protocol and work on both the left and right ears.

Pain Relief

Whether you're managing chronic conditions like arthritis or migraines, or recovering from injury, Auriculotherapy offers a natural and effective approach to pain management.

Stress Reduction

By calming the nervous system and promoting relaxation, Auriculotherapy helps alleviate stress, anxiety, and tension — fostering greater well-being and mental clarity.

Addiction Recovery Support

Auriculotherapy has demonstrated promise in supporting individuals overcoming addictions — including smoking cessation and substance abuse — by reducing cravings and withdrawal symptoms. Some states use it in court-mandated rehabilitation and state-funded programs.

Your Questions Answered

Auricular therapy sessions are 45–60 minutes long and will include a brief conversation about your current state and where you would like to improve. We will find the optimal protocol and work on both the left and right ears.

When you come in for your initial consultation, we will examine your issues and determine a plan of action. Our family's introduction to auricular therapy began when Scott had a miraculous recovery from severe acute back pain through a single hour of auriculotherapy.

While we cannot precisely determine how each individual will respond until we try, there is some indication that chronic conditions which have lasted for years may have a different path than acute conditions. We offer package deals and savings for people who may require multiple sessions.

There are certain situations where the use of electrical stimulation is not ideal — such as individuals with pacemakers. Please give us a call so we may determine if you are a candidate: (406) 281-8200.

You may feel a drop in blood pressure or blood sugar as you move into a deep state of relaxation. Some tenderness may be felt on the ear, and energy may be felt as it moves through the body. Tensing and relaxing of various muscles could occur. More often than not, people fall asleep during the session. It is not intended to be painful, and we will discuss how to communicate your experience during your session.

In some circumstances, after a session, you may temporarily move into an increased feeling of symptoms for 1–4 days — a healing process known as "retracement" — as you work through the deep healing needed to move past the original issue. After this point, symptoms should lessen, and a second session may help move further into stable long-term comfort.
